More stories tonight (Wed. Aug. 22, at 6 pm); hope you'll be there.
Meanwhile, just for the record, here's a discovery I made today: Mrs. Vida Nina (Watson) Fitchett's 2009 obituary, in the Caledonian-Record, specifically mentioned the Wood School, one of the last four district schools of the town. Hi, Just sorting out this blog's features and I am guessing one can only post in the comments section. Abel Goss ( 1763-1825 ) and his wife Irena Sprague (1763-1853 ) are my 5th ggps. Also I have Bucks, Chases and Craws. In Sept, I am returning to ME, NH and VT to visit ancestral sites for the very first time since I broke through the secrecy of adoption and have attempted to piece together various huge family trees. Hope to make it by.... Miles Drake
ReplyDeleteHi Miles Drake - Thanks for posting your comment. The Davies Memorial Library has some nice material on Abel Goss, I believe. And if you're around on the 4th Wednesday at 6 pm, please do join the "Waterford Historical Group" meeting hat evening! Welcome.
