When I visited Lower Waterford in 2011 and 2012, I met a woman who as part of her work in support of the church was responsible for safeguarding and preserving certain church records which contained significant amounts of information of a genealogical nature and seemed to be original. These records were distinct from town records and in some respects contained information which differed from what could be found in town records…
As I remember these records were kept in the basement of the church across the road from the town clerk s office… In light of the announcement regarding the church I wonder if any effort has been made to preserve these records ?

I believe those were addressed by DAR volunteers organizing the church records.
